It was a big discussion about skiing on Monday morning. Fresh snow overnight meant that the roads had to be plowed, and the holiday meant a lot of people were trying to get up the canyons. We went ahead with the plan, took about an hour to get up there, and started skiing a little after noon. The snow was great and an especially fun day because lots of cousins came along.
J was so nice to bring 2 full containers and share with everyone.
this is the only reason I don't love Alta. it's really expensive!
R made the right call, to get our discounted tickets in the valley for a full day ticket. we drove a little bit out of the way, and had to wait in the traffic line, but it was ok. We got up there in enough time to get in some runs to make it worthwhile.
