outdoors winter

urban hiking through the College Street Ravine

trying another new recipe: broc-n-roll (broccoli and quinoa) burgers
e and i were foiled in our 4am attempt to see the "Super Blue Blood Moon".  (r also kept an eye out en route to the airport)
this is special because it's when the moon is closer to earth (super moon) and the 2nd full moon of the month (blue moon) and a total lunar eclipse (blood moon).
unfortunately, Seattle clouds obstructed the view.  but our interest is peaked, and we'll catch the next cosmic wonder.
we loved having our family over for dinner one Sunday eve.  happy birthday to M!

this was a new recipe that was great!  a meatless pasta sauce, but with the texture and consistency of a meat sauce. loved it and it was loaded with veggies.
we had a day off between semesters and took the opportunity to hike Rattlesnake with our H friends. they like feeding the gray jays at the top.

the water level was SO much higher than our last visit one month ago.
