i have an awesome view of the golf course from my office.
A second weekend trip, this time women only, to Ft. Flagler. We walked out on the spit first thing. It wasn't as windy this time and we lucked out again with no rain. a beautiful way to end the summer camping season.
lots of deer around.
walking before dinner was great, but again meant we prepared food in the dark. delishious little potluck. Ms. C's vegetable marinara, fresh pasta, salad.
Ms. E rocked the menu with her dutch over. she baked a fresh nectarine/yellow cake mix/butter cake for dessert and then cinnamon rolls for breakfast. So amazing to have hot baked food on a camping trip.
on the way home, we stopped by the Japanese Internment memorial on Bainbridge Island. I'm glad we did. it was so interesting.
here: The Japanese Americans endured with gaman, the practice of bearing difficult times with patience and dignity. They were sent to California, then Idaho for 3+ years.
