WS garden tour

this was such a pretty house. they painted the brick with sand and a trowel or brush. called it french colonial. felt Mediterranean.

this little bell and had nice little sound.  not loud like some big wind chimes.

these people had vision to design their garden in a ravine.

i like the idea of planting marigolds around the perimeter of veggie beds to keep away the slugs.

this one is pretty. it's called Azara microphylla and has little leaves that allow the person in the office inside to look out, yet give some personality and privacy.
this gnarly old tree is called a contorted Filbert, or "Harry Lauder's Walking Stick"

watch your step for your safety. glad i don't live on a cliff.

this was in the name of research for my new house/yard landscape planning.  Yews were nice - an evergreen with red berry.  gardenias had a nice smell.

we slept on the bathroom floor because he likes it cool. esp when sick.

checking out some new things

R making use of the grill and cake platter at the rental

e's enjoying summer camp.  we are pending on a lovely house near Alki. :)

we made it to the gym every day and then he crashed and got sick.  i need to take better care of him.  here we were exploring Angle Lake. so fun!  we will go back for sure.
we checked out the BMX race.  it's right by the airport, so we got to hear/see the planes while we watched the young kids on the track.  next field trip is to see the botanical garden right by here.

after watching the BMX race, and not yet being able to ride a bike, he wanted to do a running race.  he looks sleepy since he didn't sleep well. first night of being acutely sick. but still wanted to run.  called the Mud and Chocolate kids dash.  he got a chocolate medal when he finished the 2 laps around the pond.

Primary hosted trip to visit the temple grounds.

fun dinner with our friends.  LOVE the veggie basket and also our friends :)

also love their covered deck.

but most importantly, she loves horses

showing R our souvenirs and he's completing the word search that E created on the plane. a birthday party for Ms. B, whose mother is so very Martha Stewart, in an awesome way.  all things horses for this girl.

they sort the garbage after it is collected into food and yard waste and recycling.

catch up with this, USA. in the parking garage, the lights turn red when the spot is full, and green when vacant.  very easy to find yourself a spot.

The Museo Soumaya, named after the wife of Mexican magnate (magnate means very rich person) Carlos Slim, has the largest private collection of original Rodin sculptures outside Paris. It also has a large collection of Dalí sculptures, and recently began showing pieces in its masters collection including El Greco, Velázquez, Picasso and Canaletto. The museum inaugurated a new futuristic-design facility in 2011.
