B&G graciously gifted R a weekend trip for his graduation! we went up north to explore the town of La Conner. super cute. lots of window shopping and good food to eat. visited a neat historical museum as well.

behind our hotel these Japanese maples and fence were pretty. the other trees behind our hotel held heron nests! we watched 4 herons flying to and fro.
oh yum. Hungarian mushroom soup. simple and yum! haven't yet tried making it myself at home.
