one down, moving on

getting used to the rental. brushing his teeth on the deck.

maybe a midcentury modern for us?

again, i give e the camera when he gets bored.

so great to find friend L at summer camp.

dinner with Ms. C. she shared frozen cherries.

Beautiful Bainbridge Island

it was a busy hectic week.  the last week of school included Kindergarten graduation and an early release.  Father's Day and ferry commuting all week.

checked out a couple more houses including this one with a loom!

very lovely friends let us stay for the week until we could move into the rental.  almost like a vacation.

R made delicious potatoe salad and tuna fish melts.

Lincoln Park for songs and ceremony. E is excited to head on up to 1st grade next year.

so fun! our friend made all these centerpieces.  wheat grass? that grows quickly and then stuck live flowers in them.

several times we had the coast guard escort the ferry. i was so glad for the rain since i wanted to water the garden before turning over the house to new owners, but our hose was packed in the PODS.

Mrs. G is a great cook.  just adding a little sausage to the meat sauce makes spaghetti extra yummy.
*******here is where to add all the G family shots.

visit from NE cousin and so long AH

so fun that cousin D would come to visit while in town for soccer games.

we look like adults.  the camera doesn't lie...  but we're not old!

summer is gorgeous in seattle. we got ice cream and walked on Alki. It was so clear, we could see the N Cascades.

boooooo. the food we gave away.

i imagine my pioneer ancestors would be glad that i use quilts both to keep warm and comforted and practically to wrap pics for a move.

was remembering how this room looked when we bought the home.

moves are not great for our relationship.  ...just saying.

all the stuff i insisted on keeping out of the PODS and with me in our temporary housing.

end of June, house, school

this was a funny picture.  i've never seen anyone use our spelling before.  his hat says "Eli" but the shirt from the aunt who can't remember is "Ely".

every little attempt helps.  here are work snacks better than vending machine candy bars!

friends the P's.

love fresh organic homegrown raspberries.

this was a fun evening of trying to chop up the stump.  many neighbors came out to help, but this wood was not dry and just wouldn't break apart easily.

3 boxes and then 3 more. filled like tetris. fortunately none of them were over the weight limit.

once in a while i see a "Wild Bird Center" store. i used to work there 20 years ago.  i took E in to show him the great world of bird watching.

his art portfolio, which is really cool.  Nana, we really want to show you this... right now i can't think where it is exactly, but we didn't send it away in the big PODS, and we really want to show you when we have a chance to breathe and find it.
