up to date in prep for blurb writing

my handsome guy going to church with me. yay for a sunshiny day.

r and E headed up to the slopes for the first time.  E says it was a "hundred thousand fun".

:) a nice thing that family cares for us.

we're learning to swim.

an urban hike i've been wanting to do for a long time.  to Solstice park for a great view.

e's learning to take the selfie.

R made a good dinner with leftover roast.  the mash was garlicky and a little more healthy due to the carrots mixed with potatoes.

We had a day off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  We went to the NW African American Museum for the first time.  everyone else was there also.  but we enjoyed a storytelling and exhibits. yay for another sunny day in our moderate weather town.

put down some straw to compost in our garden.

e's still enjoying the gym becuase they have crafts at their childcare.  the teacher tells me he comes in and says "what's the craft  tonight? oh, and hi."

waiting at bus stop for E.

family fun night was lego building creations.

fun afternoon to go and see the UW women's basketball team win a close game against our in state rivals Washington State.  I like to sit close to the band, trying to influence E to think woodwinds and brass are cool.  but he still thinks he wants to play violin.

breaking open the geode to see the shiny rock inside.

checking out the inside with the magnification on the TV

I am reading the Compound Effect book.  it's very encouraging that every little small thing has big consequences.  so, i keep working on taking small steps toward greatness and increased health.  here is chia pudding with banana and mashed fruit.

then E and i had an ER adventure.  We just had to take our new insurance health coverage for a test drive.  I thought we were doing ok with eating enough fruits, veg, fiber, and water, but ... we weren't.  we have changed our ways.

another gym family fun night.  here e is working on getting that oreo on his forehead down into his mouth.

this activity is called "giant dominoes".  how funny to see those VHS tapes put to use.

racquetball!
