videographer contributions

it's so easy to shoot video recordings these days.  another one of those amazing features that we almost all have on our cell phones.  R shares a couple here.  the videos add a new dimension to still photographs on the blog.  To watch my loved ones move and hear their voices makes me feel closer to them when they are away.  I can almost hug them over the computer monitor :)

more summer.

yum! this is a great hummus.  i made it with a can of "shoestring" cut beets.  from a very interesting blog!  roasted-red-beet-white-bean-hummus

these noodles were awesome!  our friend promised to share the recipe.  e's school summer picnic.  i took a pasta salad. same one i've made several times this summer.  key is the can of artichoke hearts and salami. yum.

we didn't have a big plum harvest this year.  really, only maybe 40 plums total.  they were good though.

the annual columbine shot.  have to appreciate the beauty.  despite so little water this year.

e's chalk drawing of the temple.

grandma gave me some wheat berries, so i tried a new breakfast idea.  pretty good!  wheat-berry-breakfast-bowl

working on that quilt.  trying out pics on new phone.

a cut lip from school earned him the nickname senior moustache in karate class.
its nice to talk with M&D. they are far away.

bucket list Rainier camping

well, we loved a camping trip (thanks Mom and Dad! who gifted this to us as R's graduation gift).

this is the kind of picture i usually get of Rainier, where you see only a tiny little snowy mtn in the middle of the picture.  so when i got closer, i just couldn't stop.   see the next 20 photos :)

i think this was Mt. Adams beyond the front range.

how fantastic to meet our R cousins at Sunrise for a hike!  the day was hot, but we were all in good spirits.  this family is so greatl  S is on her way to Bolivia.

sampling pasteries at Bakery Nouveau with our friends Ms. A and her J.

we had lots of good beans this year.  planted more for another harvest!

my first quilt in 5 years.  i'm hoping the final product will look as good as I planned it.

ok, this raspberry bread pudding was delicious.  not a secret why when the recipe included a quart of cream and 3 cups of sugar.!

our cousin D is a saint to include us in her family activities.  We love her!  e and i had fun with a swim and visit when E's family was in town.
