dinos and frogs

From E's preschool day:
The children have been busy singing, playing with and reading about frogs!  This seems to have been a good choice, every few seconds one of them shouts 'hey look!' and wants to show me something from the frog books.  We did a little activity where the kids colored, cut and pasted different phases of the frog's life cycle.  Some of the children were interested in the chronology while others were making little frog families.  We will continue this exploration and see where it leads next!
From our generous friend Ms. E, some pancit (yum, love the green beans, fish cakes, and Chinese sausage) and Filipino crackers and cookies.

We learned about dinosaurs at the Burke Museum.  here is our friend Z breaking open a rock - he found a fossil of an elm leaf and pine needle.

Ms. E shared mini mango pies for pi day, and beautiful cake pops. The amazingly non-flat chocolate chip cookies are from our cousin D.

a nice Saturday morning walk at Lincoln Park with our friends.
