here are two from the tundra blast after we left.

6. how we roll

E got a fat lip somehow... don't remember.... oh yeah. at the gym, he fell on the kid's play structure.
E made a super cool snowflake for N and P. He gave it to them because it would have gotten crushed in the suitcase, and he already had one at home.

B is house shopping, but we've loved walks on this beach in her current neighborhood.

icy cold, but we enjoyed the walks. the lakes were frozen. one time, A threw a stick so hard it slammed into the ice and stuck in it. other times, the sticks skimmed right across the top of the frozen surface.

We all gathered to review B's photos of our holiday together. As always, he took beautiful shots. He is so kind to share them with us, so I will include some in a guest post, coming up next.
R made some gluten free chocolate chip cookies to round out the trip. B made sure that E had a bag for snacking on while we traveled home.

5. the big day

We started with stockings upstairs, then downstairs for breakfast, then gifts in the family room. R made super yummy homemade donuts.

E asked: How do your reindeer fly? is Rudolf real?
He wrote back: The reindeer fly by eating special reindeer food that only grows in the North Pole. Mostly lichens and such... Rudolph is indeed real! Merry Christmas!

4. pre Christmas

We were out daily on hikes at the Supply Pond or stone quarry or trolley trail. thank goodness for family who likes to be active. each area was beautiful.
