back to school BBQ. i helped with the water/lemonade station. Caspar Babypants was so fun.

the day was very low key.  after traveling for business, we were glad to be together as a family.  soccer photos and a game. yardwork and errands. home cooked dinner with lots of veggies and then out for ice cream and pie.

 E gives great gifts. loving cards with colors that pop. finger-knitted and braided bracelets. elastic necklaces with two different types of knots. origami and Werthers.

 s'mores, ping pong, and night swimming.  a scavenger hunt too!

 E was so excited about the nook bed.  he slept long and hard. earlier this week he fell about 10-12 feet out of a tree when playing after school.  he's had a lot going on.

 we were rained out of our plan to cover the red trail at Crystal.  they closed the gondola due to adverse weather. it's ok though. we relaxed. explored White River campground, and the Wonderland trail.

4th grade!

 First day of school. looking sharp.  he's been wishing school would start "tomorrow" for a couple of weeks.

 ymca summer fitness challenge. i had to make efforts to get in 30 classes this summer.  i'm glad i did. wasn't easy with our busy life, r's travels, vacations, and working extra hours.

 Red Dragons fall soccer off to a good start.  same coach and many of the same kids from last year.

 almost 6 months as a one car family.  time for getting back to freedom and independence. :) and a car payment :(

 nice friends Ms. L and T invited us out on their sail boat on Labor Day. weather was great, and it all felt very luxurious. really nice way to spend a holiday.

Didn't last. another chemical pregnancy.

 another little roller coaster. focusing on new cheese (as in "who moved my cheese"). we are thankful for our blessings.

 my job in this family is to save money and make healthy food. one box of bananas has many more bunches than you would think.  love our produce stand.
