Spring Break guest photos

e took photos of these worms that he found at the beach.  he wanted to share them with his teacher because worms are part of their composting science project.

Spring Break

Luna loved Nana and Papa.
 another lost tooth.
Papa likes the taste of (lots of) Sriracha on everything.

this was the rainiest day we've had in a long time, but we got out for a trip to the Grand Junction anyway.

We were determined to go hiking despite the rain, so we drove to the other side of the mountain where we had sunshine, but snow on the trail.  we drove up the road as far as we could, then go out and hiked until we were tired of sinking down to our knees every other step.

feeling like Spring

a little neighorhood Easter egg hunt.

 things he likes!
Spring Break this year means a visit from Nana and Papa!  they arrived at 3am after flight delays, but hung in there for a full day of seeing E's classroom, accompanying him to violin lesson, and cheering for him at a little league game.

rainy days so soup's on the menu.  romesco soup with smashed chickpeas

 african peanut stew vegan
he's in heaven playing games all day long.  chess, monopoly, spot it, etc! nana is a patient woman.

and what of March?

on our dog walks we check out fence styles trying to decide what we want for our fence.
these mountains in the distance looked a lot like my landscape quilt scene.
 this was a fence/wall that E likes.

 applesauce on homemade toast.
below: baked chickpea falafel patties
E's creativity during a ward Family night highlighting folks favorite hiking spots.
H (have fun) I (include the kids) K (kick your feet) E (enlarge your garden). love that kid.
my inaugural trip to the home storage center and Winco. after a morning at POMA.  took the day off. unfortunately have to do it again, so i'll get help with childcare next time instead of taking another day off. can't do that every month.
always love this pasta salad with edemame, caperss, fried zucc and fresh basil.
getting ideas about what I need in my food storage.
have these plants grown at all since last year?
 Bach in the Subway

learning scorekeeping for little league.  I'm not very baseball-fluent yet.

this spring's project is the rockery.  needs help. especially since we removed a large juniper.

these stairs need to be replaced.
Easter is upon us.  this year we went to an Easter egg hunt at the community center.

as usual, when we recycle some artwork (we can't keep it all), we photograph it for our memories.  this was a portfolio with an eagle.
