she loves basically anything and and everything that takes her outdoors

e's chocolate from Korea, rock taped to an elastic, and in the tree, his homemade bird feeder.

thanks Dad for teaching me to appreciate a good tree :)

got to meet Ms. K and sweet S. as well as Ms. J for lunch before K embarks on her PhD enterprise.

yum for Mexican tamales and quesadillas at Cafetal Quilombo!

trying to get waves that stay all day.

green smoothie!  every little step healthier makes.
the good words from book just finished:  weight loss isn't about willpower or motivation; it's just the cumulative effect of tiny actions over time.  putting down the chocolate bars, putting on the running shoes.  you just have to keep picking yourself up when you fall, over and over again, for however long it takes.  shauna reid.

who doesn't love quirky rest area oddities like gigantic stumps?

what a great experience!  we had a family kayaking adventure in Anacortes.  paddled 5 miles and have blisters to prove it.

kelp forests.  ribbons that can grow a foot longer each day.

yes, he is taking a bite of the edible kelp.

that guy in the middle taking a break.

calm water helped me relax and enjoy the ride.  beautiful view of Mt. Baker above the town.  those mountains never come through as well in the photos.  i can see why someone might want to own their own kayak.

this pic was to capture a heron. explaining since it's hard to see.  we also saw seals, porpoises, an adult (white head) and juvenile (not yet white head) bald eagle.

this is not really that healthy. but just taking a photo instead of xerox these days.  we might try it.

summertime passing

this looks so good and sweet.  it was! roasted carmalized sweet potato.

visiting a small SeaTac Botanical Garden

these are nice solid garden beds.  thinking what i want for the new house.

Go UW Huskies

dim sum at Din Tai Fun. plate of spinach was so good!!

these nectarines were perfect and so sweet.  we ate them in just a couple of days.

e's catapult

we live on a construction zone block.  they covered R's car while painting one of the new buildings across the street.

E's cheetah face paint

we cleaned up one day.  pictures to keep memories, then we can recycle all these creations/reports/treasures/pictures.

skyping with our family is the best.  thank you for taking time to visit with us!
