Christmas rush Kent 5k

I ran the whole time, stayed with Ms. C and we finished in 47 or 48.  I was going for the goal of running my first adult 5k and made it!  next time I can go faster and "PR".  mostly it was really fun. lots of people dressed up. fun green Christmas shirts.  we were early enough to not stress out. it rained the whole time.  ely was great sport. he's been running at school around the track and getting hold punches in his track card.  when it is filled up he gets a rubber bracelet.  we went out to eat afterwards.  thank goodness I called Sister A. beforehand to get psyched up and get tips on what to wear outside.  gloves, headband. light jacket. only one layer pants. taking extra clothes for changing into afterwards.  I'm super excited about doing another one.

R came in 10 minutes before us and he pushed e the whole way and he had a blister on his foot!

45 degrees and rainy. :)

soon it will be Christmas day!

what a nice Christmas goodie plate should look like.  5 awesome cookies (with good frosting that doesn't smear) and 2 little clementines.

e made this beautiful pizza.  we also had baked potato nachos.

our Ward Christmas party was a lot of fun.  huge turnout.  signing and a program, followed by Santa.  someday i'll learn what are the popular potluck dishes to take.

Thanksgiving time

r made his mom's potatoes, and a pumpkin pie and a cranberry relish using samsung app recipes.  i took a salad.

I've got to get this recipe from Ms. T for her fun pumpkin rolls. super cute and soft and yummy.  http://www.beyondkimchee.com/pumpkin-dinner-rolls/

Ms. R knitted that beautiful yoked sweater on Mr. L.  she's almost completed the matching one for herself.

ely and i both loved Ms. R's pecan pie best, but we had a little bit of each one...

we loved having a long weekend, long weekend!  no work on Thursday or Friday. so nice. i worked on sewing, ely made art and also did some sewing. he wants to use the machine. but for now is just using needle and thread.  he's improving his skills.

so fun with 2/3 of the primary kids and their families there to help.  until they can get a better photographer to document these activities, they are stuck with my blurry photos.

yummy way to get cabbage in your dinner: Asian noodles.
we love our VT sweatshirts. thanks Dad!  we wear them all the time.  when we are out in public, we try to coordinate so we aren't both wearing them...
