Cousin time rocks

A fun day at the Pacific Science Center

 Grace volunteered to blow bubbles.

We enjoyed swimming in the saltwater filled Coleman Pool despite the broken heater.  So fun to spend time outdoors in this great summer weather.

We loved our visit from cousins and Aunt Jenny and Aunt Amy.  Thank you for driving all the way to see us!

grumpy boys at the end of the day.
so that you know - they were both happy a few minutes later when we had cupcakes for dessert.

While we played, our Grandma, Seth and Chad hiked the Grand Canyon rim to rim.  this is an amazing feat!

 Wish you were here :)
Rob's short summer vacation included many bike rides.

hoods up at Coho

Yurt camping with our friends was all I had hoped it could be.  what a fun weekend!

We learned quickly how to rig up the tarp to cover our table and fire.

cozy. heated!  we could sleep comfortably and dry out (almost) each night.

Coho Campground is in the Olympic National Forest.  Wynoochee Lake is beautiful. everything is green as this area is a temperate rain forest.  A came with us to check out the Wynoochee Dam.

Thanks to Rob chopping wood, we had several good fires.

the whole group on a hike.

 checking out a banana slug.

a nice family leaving early gave us 18 fresh duck and chicken eggs.  Yum. Ms. E made up cheesy omelets with peppers and onions.

 washing dishes.

We stopped to see Spoon Creek Falls on our way out.

We had a great time.  We feel we are now super tough car campers because it rained the whole time (during awake hours) with only a 30 minute glimps of sunshine (while E and I were napping)

beautiful columbine flowers we are tending for our friend Shirley.

Nonnie sent E a fun present unexpectedly- a red dinosaur shirt!

E and L making pizza :)

E and I took an early morning ferry to Bremerton for the Armed Forces Day parade.  very neat and patriotic.

Daddy had a good dinner idea: grilled veggies with polenta.  the sweet onions are the best!
