more good

Just want to say that 2 and ½ is the best. I don’t know what the terrible twos are… I heard they actually happen when the kids is three. Its so fun to talk with e. I love listening to him say things. I never could guess the things that he is thinking.
Last weekend the parents were trying to sleep in. e says “I have an idea” (he gets that from his teacher Don). He says “I have an idea… Lets get up. Get up!”
Don said e was the first person in his class to know an answer when asked how do we treat our friends? E’s response was “Hold hands.”
Anyway, every stage is easier and better than the previous.

Mommy has on blue pants. i have on blue jeans and blue socks and running shoes.
E is learning our schedule. thenounproject.com is awesome (only works on firefox). free cool clipart.

We celebrated 5 years in Seattle.

good food lately includes Tabouleh with a Twist. bulgur, cucumber, feta, green onions, jalepeno.  and Rob finished his 2nd semester. He made dinner from his grandmother's cookbook = meatballs and tomatoe sauce.  so good!  i had two helpings.

fun with friends

We went on a little hike to Camp Long with neighbor friends.

We discovered a new beautiful hiking spot- St. Edward's State Park with a work friend.

Our work friend E is so sweet to share baked goodies with us.  Ely totally cleaned his dinner plate so that he could enjoy a piece of this lemon cake.

We went to Key Arena to watch Stanford women's basketball play in the tournament.  Our baker friend E's brother is in the Stanford band and they rock!

Ely loves to point out Don's needle.  (his teacher Don lives near the Space Needle)

When we left, he told me: I saw guys playing music and guys dancing ... at the same time.
It was neat to sit with him during (maybe his first?) national anthem.
He said: I saw the tree dancing. he had shoes ...and socks. (Stanford band mascot).  I saw the bear dancing (WSU mascot). like this... followed by demonstration.

other sweet thing lately: he knows that shoes have tongues.
He wants to tell you the names of all fingers- on both hands.  pinkie, ring, middle, pointer, and thumb.
